The course will reflect the current statutory guidance provided by the Department for Education in Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE). The purpose of this course is to equip all governors with the knowledge required to enable them to provide strategic challenge around school safeguarding in order to assure themselves that there is a culture of safeguarding.
Why should you take this course?
This course will enable school governors to:
⦁ have an overview of the statutory safeguarding requirements for schools
⦁ be aware governors specific strategic obligations in line with national guidance and legislation e.g. KCSIE
⦁ explore best practice recommendations to enable governors to provide strategic challenge and assure themselves that there is a culture of safeguarding in the school
⦁ have an understanding of the single central record requirements
⦁ Have an knowledge of safeguarding and the governors role in the inspection process

⦁ 2 hour online training via the Zoom platform
⦁ Electronic copy of the training materials
⦁ A certificate of completion
COST: £90 per person (discounted to £75 per person if 2 or more people attend from the same school or college)
