Administrators, designated safeguarding leads, senior leaders, governors
Schools and colleges by law must maintain a single central record of pre-appointment checks. The single central record is also a key part of evidence that inspectors will look at when inspecting a school’s approach to safeguarding. We will work with the person who is responsible for the maintenance of the Single Central Record (SCR), to help them ensure that it is fully compliant. The audit report can be used by governors /trustees as an assurance that the SCR meets requirements.
What is Included:
⦁ 1.5 hour face to face work scrutinising your SCR
⦁ A full written report identifying strengths and areas for development
The review will enable school staff, leaders and governors/trustees to
⦁ increase their knowledge and understanding of pre-employment checks and recording requirements in line with the statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’.
⦁ Assist with Ofsted readiness
⦁ Evidence that the governors have sought assurance that safer recruitment checks are in place and compliant with statutory requirements in KCSIE.
